Bank branches established
The Virginia General Assembly passed an act establishing a branch of the Bank of Virginia, the Farmers Bank of Virginia, the Bank of the Valley, the Exchange Bank of Virginia, the Northwestern Bank of Virginia, or the Merchants and Mechanics Bank of Wheeling in Kingwood, Preston County.
